Hull Hornets was founded in
September 2016 starting out as a
university Wheelchair Basketball
team.
The club founder, James Morris,
travelled the country in pursuit of
purchasing specific sports
wheelchairs to enable disability
sport to thrive at the University Of
Hull.
The team was quickly successful
within the first few years of entering
the university championships where
they ranked second alongside the
likes of Nottingham University.
Since then the University Of Hull
Wheelchair Basketball team made
the transition alongside other
university teams and BWB to the
national BUCS Championships.
The team competed successfully in
BUCS placing third and fourth
respectively in the last two years!
Congratulations Team!
We also played multiple friendly games with local teams Kingston Hull Panthers and Wakefield Whirlwinds throughout the seasons making a fun, developmental atmosphere alongside the BUCS championship!
This season the team have put hard
work into rebranding the team! This
year will be the first year that the
team has not entered the BUCS
competitions.
The Decision has been made for the
team to enter two different
development level leagues to
provide better and more enjoyable
competition for the whole team.
